The Inbetween

Hello dear readers, I am almost off to Barcelona.

I spent a lovely week at home in Germany, meeting old friends, spending time with my family. I went with Kiki to a television show recording in Cologne, I spontaneously went to the birthday party of a friend from school that I hadn’t seen in months and I had all my favourite meals before going off again (Spargel, Salat Capricciosa and Gyros überacken!)

On Sunday, there was a dancing event at the Düsseldorf Airport and Kiki and I had a great time learning a few steps and meeting the semi-famous dancer from Let’s dance, a German television show. It was so exciting!

Of course, I also did some shopping with my mum and now I have way too many things that I want to take with me. However, the suitcase is weighing exactly as much as allowed. Go me! I think I am well prepared. I have a hat, sun protection, tons of shirts, flip-flops and a pink bikini – so I can relax on the beach when I’m not working. My mind still cannot understand that it will be warm – if not extremely hot – where I’m going, so I still fear that I don’t have enough warm clothes. I hope that I’ll be cured from that thinking very soon.

One evening my parents and I stumbled upon an episode of Downton Abbey in German tele, and while the synchronisation was hideous, I was somehow interested in the show and started watching it in english. It’s quite a lovely series, partly surprising, partly predictable. I guess I’ll keep watching.

Well, I just wanted to give a short report on what I was doing, now I have about an hour left before we’ll leave for the airport. See you in Spain!
